Arts Integration

Arts integration involves experiencing the connective processes of DESIGN, INVENTION, PRODUCTION and DIALOG. The course this site is connected to is based on a "reparative pedagogy" - a collaborative ethic that "gives back". Projects are developed for the "other" and in the creation, both the self and the other are rewarded.

We hope the contents of the site pull the heart toward a compassionate way of living and learning in the world. Sustainability, ecological health, compassionate democracy, social justice, and attempts to give back to the community rest at the core of reparative pedagogy.

The course theme this semester is "Place of Learning" and focuses on personal transformation which acknowledges place, relationship, and reflection, as integral to active teacher-researcher preparation and professional development.

Welcome teachers! We hope you find inspiration and project ideas here! Please feel free to share resources or comment on work. Also see our work at the Chris Jordan networking site.
